OUR MISSION STATEMENT
To observe the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ by following the example of St. Francis of Assisi who made Christ the center of his life and people.

In keeping with the life of our patron, Matt Talbot, the fraternity reserves a special place of prayer and charitable service to those struggling with drug and alcohol addiction.
LOVE
WHO WE ARE
Secular Franciscans, single or married, women or men, reside in the secular world rather than religious communities, following the Gospel in a Franciscan manner according to our Rule which is professed after a period of initial formation.

We are Catholics, in good standing with the Church, and in obedience with its doctrines and practices. Secular Franciscans commit to a life in Jesus, living and promoting His Gospel, according to the teachings of Saint Francis of Assisi.
The four pillars of the Secular Franciscan Order are: spirituality, formation, fraternity, and apostolate.
Placing total confidence in God, giving thanks for and being stewards gifts received, and sharing them with those in need.

Our way of life is a vocation, approved by the Church. The TAU Cross, which we wear, is the visible sign of the Order.

WHEN WE MEET
We gather on the first Monday of the month at 6 pm at 1441 S. 29th St., Philadelphia 19146, where we celebrate Mass, receive the Eucharist, engage in community prayer and discussion, as well as take time to socialize.
